Marshmallow Christmas Yule Logs

Merry Christmas Eve!

This is my absolute favorite time of year.

A time to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!

It is truly humbling to think that He gave His life for mine. And He gave it for you too!

He was born to die...for my sins and yours.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Every year since our first-born grandson Joseph was able to read, we've had him read the story of Christ's birth as told in Luke chapter two. Jojo-he's still a baby to me- is a newlywed now, but I hope this is one tradition that never changes! And, if it's cold enough we get to enjoy this wonderful part of the Christmas season by the fireside.

That's where these yule logs come in. Simple, fun, and sweet yule logs. Made with marshmallows! Let's get crackling! 😜

I used: marshmallows, chocolate coating, holly and berry sprinkles, lollipop sticks, and a dinner fork to make the "bark"

Insert lollipop stick into two marshmallows. Cut tip off another marshmallow and attach the sticky side to the top marshmallow.

Dip in melted chocolate and place on parchment. Let sit just until chocolate begins to set and then drag the tines of the fork through it to resemble tree bark.

Attach holly and berry sprinkles and sit back and sing a few Christmas carols..'cause now you're done!

Go ahead and make some! "Yule" be glad you did!

These little Christmas cuties would make for some sweet little table favors at your holiday meal!

Way down here in Atlanta, we may get a few snow flurries on Christmas morning! That is a very rare occurrence around here and it would sure help our chances of burning a real yule log!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Thanks for stopping by.

Patriotic Marshmallow Pops for the 4th of July!

HAPPY 4th of JULY!

I feel so thankful to have been born in the USA!

We will be celebrating the 4th with family, food, fireworks and a boatload of gratitude for all the blessings that God has poured out upon us.

I pray everyone has a safe and happy holiday as we celebrate our country's independence.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!
To make 10 pops I used:
Two bags Ghirardelli white melts
Twenty pieces red candy melts
Royal blue gel color
One bag marshmallows
Star sprinkles
Red lollipop sticks
Place two marshmallows on lollipop stick.
Melt one bag of white candy melts and add blue gel color. (I could not find blue candy melts anywhere so I just made my own.)

Dip marshmallow pop in melted candy.
Place pops on parchment paper, add star sprinkles and let set to harden.
Now we get to make the red and white stripes!
Place about twenty each of the red and white candy melts in a decorator bag and melt in microwave at 30 second intervals on 50% power stopping to knead the bags each time.
With scissors, snip off just the small tip of each bag and pipe alternating colors to form stripes.
Woohoo, it's beginning to look a lot like the 4th of July and I needed a little sparkle for my flags, so I sprinkled on just a tidge of white luster dust.
"Oh, say does that star spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? 🎜🎝🎜🎝🎝
Now let's go celebrate BIG!

That's all folks!

Stacked Marshmallow Pumpkins On A Stick

Stacked Marshmallow Pumpkins On A Stick!

Don't you just love pumpkins? I sure do, just as long as they don't taste like pumpkin!

And I know I'm the odd one out here, cause it's Fall, y'all, and all I gotta do is walk down the baking aisle at Wally World to find all things Pumpkin!

But just in case there are other non-pumpkin flavored lovers out there, I'm making these sweet little candy coated marshmallow pops all decorated up for the season!

All you need are:marshmallows, candy eyes, green icing, orange candy melts, green sprinkles (leaves), pretzel dipping sticks (not pictured), and colored lollipop sticks.

The marshmallows will hang on to the lollipop stick a little better if you dip the end of the stick in water first. Stack three marshmallows onto each stick.
I spotted these adorable little green leaves in the cake decorating aisle at Michael's! They have all kinds of different and cute tiny sprinkles in little $1 bags!
Melt candy melts in microwave on 50% power in 30 second increments stirring each time.
The pumpkin stems made from dipping pretzel sticks just so happens to be the perfect topper for these orange colored gourds. Cut just the tip ends off for the right size.
After the melts are..melted, coat the stacked marshmallows, add candy eyes, leaves and stems.

Let set and then with green icing, pipe on those oh so cute, curly tendrils. eek..so cute!
🎜🎝"Oh pumpkin stack, Oh pumpkin stack, How lovely are thy candy eyeballs."😁
We little pumpkins wish you a very Happy Fall!
Have a sweet day, Karen

Airplane Marshmallow Pops

Summertime-Vacation Time-Play Time!

Any way you say it, it's just plain fun time!

And speaking of planes, here's a fun edible craft to get you all ready for take-off!
I used regular and mini marshmallows, blue candy melts, gray fondant, silver pearl dust, blue lollipop sticks and an airplane cookie cutter.
Pop three marshmallows on each lollipop.
Melt candy melts according to directions on package and dip each pop into melted candy.
I justπŸ’—this blue!!
Lay marshmallow pops on parchment paper till set.
Roll out fondant, coat cookie cutter in powdered sugar and press into fondant.

I tried to find a smaller airplane cutter, but alas I got stuck with my big bird..hahaha!

In the end, I decided to trim a little off the nose and wings and while still too large for my liking, I just rolled with it.
To achieve that slight curve to my planes, I let them rest on a flower former. You could use an empty paper towel roll just as well.
Oops! Let's dust those planes with some pearl dust first.
There! That's better. All shined up and ready to fly!

Hmm...then I thought my plane was too plainπŸ˜‰, so I added a nose piece. And a heart, cause I πŸ’– hearts!

Now for those fluffy clouds which I made by flattening the mini marshmallows. Sweet little puffs of soft candy!
I hope you all have a great summer and enjoy your vacation time!

My awesome hubby and I will be celebrating our 26th anniversary in a few days with a trip to Italy.

I am beyond excited and hope to share some of my photos with you all when we return!

Have a sweet day, Karen 😊

Football Marshmallow Pops

Let me just say, it is getting pretty exciting down in our neck of the woods!

The Falcons are going to the SUPER BOWL!!

#RiseUp #FlyFalcons #Woohoo

If you've got room for one more football treat in your game day grub fest, I think my football pops are a great way to kick off the night!

Our Sunday evening church service begins at 6 o'clock so we have our DVR set to record. I'm hoping to avoid anyone with a smart phone who (so kindly) wants to share the score! So if anyone sees me sticking my fingers in my ears and leaving out by the side door, you'll know why! Haha! 😜
I used:
S'moreMallows
10 ounce bag Ghirardelli chocolate wafers
white gel food color tube
two-inch oval cutter
no-stick cooking spray
lollipop sticks
parchment paper
small cup of water
You will first have to look through your marshmallow bag to find ones that are large enough to fit the cutter. They are not all the same size!

Lightly spray your cutter, wipe off excess and press into the marshmallow cutting through.
Dip end of lollipop stick into water, shake off excess and insert into end of marshmallow.
Melt chocolate according to package instructions or in a small saucepan over low heat.

Dip football pop in chocolate and place on parchment paper to set.
#OhYeah!
It was kinda hard not to sample as I dipped.

*Correction. I sampled as I dipped.πŸ˜‹
If I make these again, I think I would use regular white icing as opposed to gel. It would have made for cleaner lines..but these still turned out cute!
Don't drop the ball..make your football treats today!!

Here's to a great game with the Falcons and the Patriots!
Let's Go Falcons!

Have a sweet day, Karen
