Eggnog Rice Krispie Treats

Eggnog Rice Krispie Treats...a Cup of Christmas Cheer!
 Happy Christmas Season everybody!
Well, we got our tree, and it's huge! 10 feet tall and F-A-T! I love it. It only took a couple of hours to string the lights and my little grandson did a great job of helping to hang the ornaments. Plus, hubby wrapped more presents tonight to put under the tree. Now all we need is an indoor water hose to keep it hydrated!
Time for a snack! How about a cup of Christmas Eggnog Rice Krispie Treats? While I don't care much for Eggnog, my hubby does, and he liked these! I just used the basic recipe (sans the M&Ms) from these treats and added eggnog flavor and white baking chips. I also dipped them in Wilton Eggnog Candy Melts. *note* Just click on the link above to order your eggnog flavor. When I came across it online, I knew I wanted to make these, but had to wait a few days for my delivery...order it now so you can make yours today. :)
I just loved this sweet little cookie cutter and thought it was perfect for the Eggnog Rice Krispie Treats!
Eggnog Rice Krispie Treats
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
10 oz. bag mini marshmallows
4 Tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon LorAnn Eggnog flavor
1 cup white chocolate baking chips
1 bag Wilton eggnog flavor candy melts
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and flavor stirring until melted. Remove from heat. Stir in cereal, adding chips last. Press mixture in dish sprayed with non-stick spray.
After treats have cooled, cut with cookie cutter and dip into melted Wilton Eggnog candy melts.
 I decorated them with Wilton Holly Mix Sprinkles and a dollop of whipped cream sprinkled with nutmeg. I also added a cinnamon stick..just to make them cute sweet!
Hope you enjoy these!
Thank you for visiting my blog.
    2. Hello Brenda! The eggnog flavor candy melts are actually one of Wilton's seasonal items. I found mine at Michael's craft store! Have a great day. :)
  2. I didn't have the eggnog flavoring, so I reduced the butter to 2 T. and added 2 T. peanut butter. I stirred in a cup or so of mini marshmallows with the cereal and white chips. The white chips made them pretty sweet, so I chose not to do the dip but topped with a couple tablespoons mini chocolate chips. I will have to look for the Eggnog flavoring. Yummy treat!
    2. Aww, thank you! They were really good. Actually that should be 1/4 cup peanut butter I added. I had to put the dish in the microwave for a few seconds to set the mini chips on top as some of them were falling off. I'm still gonna look for the eggnog flavoring and try them again. Thanks for sharing. Diane
