Football Fudge Sticks

Are You Ready For Some Football..Fudge Sticks?

My sweetheart is watching a game right now and I predict there will be many more to come in the next few months. If your hubby is anything like mine he will be looking for those football game-time snacks and treats. If you need a cute one for your next game day get-together, here is a yummy, fun, and simple one you can put together in a few short minutes.
I used Keebler Fudge Sticks and vanilla frosting to make my footballs. I used a small round tip and filled the icing bag with the frosting.
Simply pipe lines as shown in photo.
And just like that, we have a touchdown...with no unnecessary roughness!🀭
The fifty yard line is looking pretty sweet so I hope you enjoy your game and your treats!

Thanks for stopping by!

Football Marshmallow Pops

Let me just say, it is getting pretty exciting down in our neck of the woods!

The Falcons are going to the SUPER BOWL!!

#RiseUp #FlyFalcons #Woohoo

If you've got room for one more football treat in your game day grub fest, I think my football pops are a great way to kick off the night!

Our Sunday evening church service begins at 6 o'clock so we have our DVR set to record. I'm hoping to avoid anyone with a smart phone who (so kindly) wants to share the score! So if anyone sees me sticking my fingers in my ears and leaving out by the side door, you'll know why! Haha! 😜
I used:
S'moreMallows
10 ounce bag Ghirardelli chocolate wafers
white gel food color tube
two-inch oval cutter
no-stick cooking spray
lollipop sticks
parchment paper
small cup of water
You will first have to look through your marshmallow bag to find ones that are large enough to fit the cutter. They are not all the same size!

Lightly spray your cutter, wipe off excess and press into the marshmallow cutting through.
Dip end of lollipop stick into water, shake off excess and insert into end of marshmallow.
Melt chocolate according to package instructions or in a small saucepan over low heat.

Dip football pop in chocolate and place on parchment paper to set.
#OhYeah!
It was kinda hard not to sample as I dipped.

*Correction. I sampled as I dipped.πŸ˜‹
If I make these again, I think I would use regular white icing as opposed to gel. It would have made for cleaner lines..but these still turned out cute!
Don't drop the ball..make your football treats today!!

Here's to a great game with the Falcons and the Patriots!
Let's Go Falcons!

Have a sweet day, Karen

Football Field Lollipops

Are you ready for some football..lollipops?

Hubby and I have our own Super Bowl tradition. Since it's always on a Sunday, we are at church for the first half. I tape it so that we don't miss any of the good plays, plus we have time to pick up a pizza or wings and of course snacks.

There is just one small obstacle to overcome in my plan.
Or should I say say several? Smart phones!
You've heard of them..everybody has one..I have one.
But on this particular day, if I see you with one, I'm running the other way!

I've had Braves scores given away before I got the chance to get home and see the game for myself. I love my Braves baseball. And just for this one day, I love football too. So please, if you see me coming and you know the score..don't tell me. But if it does happen, all is not lost. At least I still have my game day goodies!

Today I made sweet little football field lollipops.

Enjoy the game everyone and may your team win!
Airheads (white), green Jolly Ranchers, chocolate covered almonds, canned white icing and lollipop sticks.
I am a seriously terrible piper, so instead of worrying about a piping catastrophe, I ended up using fondant and a mold to make my numbers. Click here to see the mold I used. Just dust the mold with powdered sugar and press in a rolled rope of fondant. I froze mine for a few minutes, used a small metal spatula to scrape off the excess and easily popped the numbers out!
I'm using Airheads white mystery flavor to make my football field lines.
I just rolled it slightly with my fondant roller and used a sharp knife dusted with powdered sugar to cut them.
Piping skills are nearly non-existent. #thestruggleisreal
Preheat oven to 275 degrees. You will bake candies for about 7 minutes.
Just keep an eye on them so they don't over melt.
Place the unwrapped Jolly Ranchers candies on a parchment lined pan. Place in preheated oven. When melted, remove from oven and gently twist in lollipop stick. Let cool completely on pan.
I attached the fondant and Airheads by lightly brushing water on the back of the candy. They will stick easily. I used just a dab of corn syrup on the lollipop to attach the "football".
GO TEAM!

Wishing You All A Blessed Day
